ABOUT BRAD
Brad Twedt serves International Justice Mission as Senior Advisor, Violence against Women and Children Programs for US Strategic Partnerships.
Immediately prior, Brad and his wife, ReJean, were deployed to Guatemala City, where Brad served IJM as Guatemala Country Director for nearly 10 years (2012-2022) and as Vice President, Northern Triangle Region for the last three of those years (2019-2022). While in Guatemala he led multi-disciplinary teams of national staff who partnered with government and community actors to design and implement sustainable and impactful programs to protect women and children from violence in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. These innovative programs focused on justice system responsiveness, victim restoration, survivor empowerment and leadership and active community engagement.
Before officially joining IJM staff, Brad served for eighteen months as a volunteer Legal Fellow supporting the IJM teams in Kampala, Uganda and Guatemala City.
Brad began his career as a practicing attorney and gained more than 20 years’ experience in New York City and Chicago as a litigator, managing attorney and legal counselor. He received his J.D. from the Columbia University School of Law and his B.A. (Government and International Affairs) from Augustana University.
