ABOUT ANU
During her 11 years with IJM in South Asia, Anu George Canjanathoppil – CEO at IJM Canada – worked extensively to impact the justice system by collaborating with state and local governments in the region. As a result of Anu’s leadership, ten thousand individuals have been rescued from forced labor slavery.
Anu George Canjanathoppil is also a creative communicator who brings social issues to light through radio dramas and street theater.
Anu was recognized by the Canadian government as a Sauvé Scholar for her dedication to empowering the underprivileged. In 2003, she represented India as a Youth Ambassador to Dhaka through the National Cadet Corps.
Anu has a B.A., B.L. from Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College and an M.B.A. from Edith Cowan University. She also has a special diploma in Intellectual Property Law at the Indian Law Institute in Pune.
