The Need

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50% and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking an Analyst to support in providing analytical products to IJM’s Asia Pacific (APAC) Forced Labor Slavery (FLS) program by collecting, analyzing and disseminating casework and strategic-level intelligence that support the needs of the APAC FLS Hub and project offices.

This position can be based in Malaysia or the Philippines. It reports to the Investigations & Law Enforcement Development Specialist, APAC FLS Hub and is only available for candidates with the right to work in Malaysia or the Philippines. This is a full-time position on a fixed-term arrangement till December 2025.


Responsibilities

Documentation, Reporting & Data Management

  • Uses open-source tools & methodologies to support collecting, processing, and analyzing actionable operational-level intelligence products and briefings that facilitates specific law enforcement and fieldwork outcomes.

Strategy & Knowledge Development & Implementation

  • Prioritizes Requests for Support (RFS) from IJM Hub and project offices
  • Collects, analyzes, and disseminates media reports to both internal and external partners.

Communication

  • Organized planning, delivering, monitoring and revising communication, both internally and externally, to ensure its flow from top to bottom clearly.
  • Assist Analysts from IJM’s Global Fusion Center in preparing and disseminating strategic and operational-level intelligence packages and briefings to internal and external parties.
  • Prepares summaries and visualizations based on data collected to gain insights and inform strategy.

Clerical and Administration

  • Enters products, case investigations, and statistical information into appropriate records management systems and databases.

General tasks

  • Assist on additional projects as requested.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in research, writing, and/or editing in a professional or academic capacity.
  • Full professional proficiency reading and writing in English.
  • High level of proficiency in computer and technical skills
