Tony Webster
Tony Webster serves as Vice President of Human Resources for International Justice Mission. IJM is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local governments to ensure victim rescue, to prosecute perpetrators, and to strengthen the community and civic factors that promote functioning public justice systems.
Before joining IJM in 2009, Mr. Webster was Senior Vice President of Human Resources for OpenTV, a global developer of software and middleware solutions for television applications, headquartered in San Francisco, CA. In this role, he was responsible for developing and implementing the company's people strategy and leading its worldwide human resources operations.
Prior to OpenTV, Mr. Webster held the top human resources roles at Silicon Valley-based Centillium Communications and Samsung Semiconductor. Mr. Webster spent the first 17 years of his career in the telecommunications industry, starting as an operations manager with AT&T and ending as Regional Director of Human Resources for SBC (now AT&T) Wireless.
Mr. Webster received a B.A. in History with honors from Westmont College, Santa Barbara, CA.
As Vice President of Human Resources, Mr. Webster is responsible for all of IJM's human resources functions, including recruiting, training, employee relations, benefits, risk management and organizational development.
