Green River Ordinance
Performing with the likes of Bon Jovi, the Goo Goo Dolls and Third Eye Blind, IJM Artist Partner Green River Ordinance (GRO) is becoming a major force in the music world. This Top-40 band, whose hit singles "Come On" and "On Your Own" topped radio charts nationwide in 2009, is committed to using their collective voice to support victims of violent oppression. And with more than 100,000 singles sold, it's obvious: people are listening.
Through their 'The Hope GROs' initiative, the band is donating all proceeds from selected songs to benefit an organization chosen by each band member. IJM is humbled and honored to be one of GRO's chosen charities. IJM is also grateful for the many ways in which this talented and passionate group has partnered in the work of justice. GRO headlined the finale concert of IJM's 5 Weeks for Freedom tour this summer, while simultaneously preparing for tours with Switchfoot and the Goo Goo Dolls this fall. IJM's documentary At the End of Slavery features music by Green River Ordinance.
